Lichele Billups, LPC

Executive Owner

Lichele is the Founder and Outreach Specialist of A Few Good Roots, Inc., and the Owner of

Rooted in Recovery Therapeutic Services LLC., with an array of experiences in adult mental

health and family services. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia State

University and her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth

University. She has devoted her career to addressing substance abuse, community services

and therapy services utilizing a compassionate and genuine approach. Lichele has over 10

years in the mental health and social services field holding a variety of positions including direct

care, administration, clinical and other leadership positions in the City of Richmond. Lichele is

fueled by her passion for being able to support others in their time of need. She considers

herself just “doing what has to be done”. Lichele is eager to build on her educational, personal,

and professional experiences and goals. She prides herself on having the ability to quickly build

therapeutic alliances with clients. Her hunger for servicing others and determination to turn

information to action has contributed to her most recent success of establishing a low-cost individual and group therapy practice through Rooted in Recovery Therapeutic Services. Lichele plans to continue to serve those who need it the most.
